The Bowing Bonsai

Using only a fountain pen, I was able to recreate the textures of wood and leaves through variations of line widths and amounts of ink deposits. This piece is symbolic of my decision to pursue the arts and a promise to myself that I would be of service to those around me, thus a very high maintenance tree bows to its viewers as a sign of humility and mutual respect.
